307-766-3600 mkillean@uwyo.edu

Mike, originally from Peoria, Illinois, started working at UWyo in 2005 and then joined ARCC in 2012. He enjoys working in the areas of systems administration, architecture, and design. Mike is currently serving as ARCC’s Head of Cyberinfrastructure and is responsible for the design and implementation of advanced technical services. His role involves a lot of work behind-the-scenes both in technical and team leadership contexts. When he isn't at work, Mike enjoys writing, fishing, mountain biking, riding unsafe electronic devices, and spending time with his family.

Jeff, originally from Spokane, Washington, started working at UWyo in December of 2003 and helped to create ARCC in 2010. As the Lead Systems Architect for ARCC, he is responsible for ensuring all systems are operating smoothly so that researchers may concentrate on their research without worrying about technical issues. His favorite part about working for ARCC is the opportunity to work with new hardware, interesting systems, and great researchers while learning about the research being performed at UWyo.
In his free time, he enjoys trains, photography, movies, good food, and the outdoors.

Levi Wilbert picture

Levi Wilbert
HPC & Linux Systems Administrator
Central IT building, room 226
307-766-5093 lwilbert@uwyo.edu

Levi, originally from Evergreen, Colorado, worked as a student technician in IT for five years as a means of learning skills and eventually a new trade. On his way to outgrowing his student role he learned as much as he could about computers, software, scripting, and Linux. Joining ARCC in March 2021 as a System Administrator II, he is very excited to be working with the ARCC team, and hopes to see researchers find their "Eureka" moment that changes people's understanding of our world.
Ever the audiophile, Levi loves listening to music, especially old school 80's/90's rave, concocting musical experiments in his spare time, as well as taking long drives on windy mountain roads.

Tim Brewer
HPC & Linux Systems Administrator
Central IT building, room 222
307-766-2700 brewer@uwyo.edu

Tim started working full time at UW in the early ‘90's and helped to create ARCC in 2010. As a Systems Administrator, he helps make sure ARCC’s systems and services remain available for researchers to use, as well as implementing new systems and services.
When he isn't at work, Tim can be found working on his family home, his next novel, training horses, or working on a '74 Honda project motorcycle.

Josh Arulsamy
System Administrator
Central IT building, room 224
<phone# pending> jarulsam@uwyo.edu

Josh, originally from Laramie, Wyoming, joined the ARCC team in the summer of 2023. He primarily works on managing and maintaining existing infrastructure, as well as collaborating with others to solve any problems that may arise. With a background primarily in software development and algorithm optimization research, Josh is excited to offer his skill set to find new and innovative solutions. Outside of ARCC, he enjoys contributing to open-source projects, reading classic American fiction novels, playing chess, and exploring music.

End User Support

Simon Alexander picture

Simon Alexander
HPC & Research Software Manager
Central IT building, room 220
307-766-4096 simon.alexander@uwyo.edu

Simon, originally from Canterbury in the UK, joined ARCC in June of 2019. As the HPC Software Manager and Programmer Analyst for ARCC, he is responsible for making sure that core software is available and supported, while simultaneously assisting the research community in the development, testing, deployment, and debugging of code and applications. His favorite part about his work at ARCC is the variety and diversity of work, requests, issues, and people within the academic environment.
When he isn't at work, he enjoys working on his PhD downtown at a local coffee shop.

Lisa Stafford
Research Computing Facilitator
Central IT Building, room 228
307-766-4842 lreilly@uwyo.edu

Lisa, originally from Norman Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner) joined ARCC in February of 2023 after 15+ years supporting faculty, staff, students, and administration at UW IT. As a Research Computing Facilitator, Lisa sparks joy bridging the divide between end users and technical staff.

When she isn’t at work, Lisa can be found camping, hiking, running, cheering on the UW Cowboys, and spending time with her husband and 3 kids.
