WildIris
Overview
WildIris is a speciality cluster to enable outreach for INBRE researchers and Wyoming community college students. It can be securely accessed anywhere, anytime using SSH connectivity with two-factor authentication.
It is made up of hybrid machines (virtual and physical) residing on ARCCs virtual infrastructure and a number of physical compute nodes.

Physical nodes
There are 4 temporary nodes that provide the underlying physical layer that the virtual hypervisor sits on top of.

WildIris Storage
The project is allocated 10 terabytes of storage, hosted on ARCC infrastructure over NFS.

Project and Account Requests
To request a research project, please email arcchelp@uwyo.edu
User Accounts require a valid email address and a UWyo INBRE-Affiliated PI sponsor.
Once access is granted, a remote connection to WildIris may be established via secure shell (SSH) or the WildIris web portal. Note that remote connections require Two-Factor Authentication and a smart device. Instructions on how to setup 2F auth for WildIris will be emailed to new users upon account creation.
