Overview

In response to the need for researchers to provide access to ARCC resources to non-UWYO collaborators, ARCC has implemented ARCC-only accounts. These accounts are created by the ARCC department (as an alternative to UW IT External Collaborator accounts) to provide external collaborator researchers access to UW Research projects and resources.

Initial Account Creation and Setup

a. Click the + Add option to add a new account.

b. Choose the option to Use QR Code (usually at the top).

a. Click on the + button as shown in the screenshot to add a new account in Microsoft Authenticator:

Depending on whether you’ve previously set up 2 factor in the google authenticator app, you will see one of two options. If you’ve never set up an account before, you should see this screen and can select “Scan a QR code” to begin setting up your account:

If you have previously set up accounts in google authenticator you’ll see a screen similar to the one shown below. To set up a new account, click the rainbow + button at the bottom of your screen:

Choose the option to scan a new QR code.
